2020.1.1500.2 Remove Empty Parent
Overview
The ‘Remove Empty Parent’ feature allows you to remove a parent transform layer from the hierarchy. Any child objects of the parent will be retained, and moved in the hierarchy to become children of the grandparent gameobject
Note that for safety you’re only able to remove an parent when its actually empty - meaning it has no components/Monobehaviors attached to it
Where to Find
The ‘Remove Empty Parent’ tool can be found under Utilities > Scene/Hierarchy > Remove Empty Parent in the Prespective Menu.
