2022.1.1551.1 CustomizableDemonstrator
Overview
The Customizable Demonstrator offers a set of ‘exposure settings’ that can be applied to individual UI fields/inputs in the inspector. These exposure settings are applied in a so-called ‘demonstrator’ mode of the inspector.
The demonstrator mode is intended to be configured and used for specific demonstration purposes (example: a quick demonstration on the effect of different conveyor lengths by a sales engineer). In these cases it can be valuable to have a tidier inspector UI that is filtered as necessary for the specific demonstration at hand.
The following exposure settings can be selected:
Editable: UI elements will be displayed editable as default in demonstrator mode. There will be no difference between the standard and demonstrator modes of the element.
Read-only: UI elements will be displayed as disabled (greyed out) in demonstrator mode.
Hidden: UI elements will not be shown in demonstrator mode.
Preset: A set of preset values can be defined while configuring the demonstrator. The UI element will be replaced by a drop-down selector for these preset values in demonstrator mode.
Where to find
The feature can be found in most of the Industrial Assets components. Right clicking anywhere in the inspector of these components will show a context menu that can be used to use the ‘Standard inspector’, the ‘Demonstrator’ or to configure the demonstrator.
