2020.1.1500.2 Pivot Tool
Overview
This tool is used to move and/or rotate the pivot of an object in the scene, relative to its mesh.
Where to find
The Pivot Tool can be found under Utilities > Scene/Hierarchy > Pivot Tool
This will open the following window:

Pivot Movement Type | This determines if the pivot is moved, rotated or both. The below option are available:

Target Object | Use another objects pivot and use that as a target for the selected object’s pivot. Position and Rotation settings further down can only be edited if the target object is set to ‘None’. |
Position | Displays the position of the target pivot. Can only be edited if no target object has been set |
Get Mesh Center of Selected Object | Sets the position for the target pivot to the mesh center of the currently selected object. |
Include Children | When checked, child objects of the selected object are used when you click Get Mesh Center of Selected Object |
Rotation | Global rotation in Euler Angles (degrees) applied to the target pivot |
Change Pivot of Selected Object | Sets the pivot of the currently selected object to the target pivot defined above. |
Undo Previously Applied Pivot | Changing a pivot actually changes the mesh data in your asset database, as such - you can’t simply undo it using ctrl + z. To be able to undo a preceding applied pivot change use this button |
How to use
Select the Pivot Movement Type you wish to use.
Option 1: Add an object to Align pivot to object if you wish to align the pivot to another object.
Option 2: Use Get Mesh Center of Selected Object to set the position
Option 3: Set the Position and Rotation values manually
Click the Change Pivot of Selected Object button to apply the settings.
While in Center mode, changes to the pivot position cannot be seen.
While in Global mode, changes to the pivot rotation cannot be seen.
