2023.1.116.1 BoxAsset



Overview

Uses the “IndustrialAssetsBuilder blueprint” to scale meshes along the X/Y/Z axes with regard to scaling relations.


Where to find

The BoxAsset cannot be instantiated on its own. It is generated through an IndustrialAssetsBuilder. However, a BoxAsset can be part of an Industrial Asset found in the Industrial Assets Library .

Fields

 

Enable Scene Gizmo

A button to enable Scene gizmos for the asset. This allows for scaling the asset in the Scene View.

Asset Dimensions

Display the length, width and height over the three axes in meters. If an axis has at least 2 segments, the segments are also shown individually.


How to use

  1. Create a Box Asset with the Industrial Assets Builder, or import an asset using one from the Industrial Assets Library.

  2. Click the Edit Asset button to enable Edit mode for the Box Asset.

  3. Use the arrow Gizmos to scale the Box Asset over one of the available axes. Axes that cannot be scaled will not show a Gizmo.

  4. Hold SHIFT to switch to an alternate scaling method. This allows for positioning of fixed section within the asset by dragging the arrow Gizmos.

  5. Clicking the Edit Asset button again, or losing focus on the component will disable the Edit mode.
