V2020.1.56.3_ Mesh Query
Overview
This tool is used to select or hide objects in the scene that are similar to another initially selected object. Selection is done through multiple different filtering options, such as mesh properties or object name.
Where to find
The feature can be found under Utilities > Mesh Tools > Mesh Query.
Feature Layout

Transform | The object you wish to use in the Query operation |
Initialize | Initializes the tool after selecting the object |
Mesh filtering on similarities | The filtering options, as described below. Only objects to which all selected filters apply will be found by the Query operation |
Material | Filter by material. Only objects that share all materials with the initial object will be found |
Mesh Area | Filter by mesh area (the sum of the area of all triangles on the mesh)

Mesh Volume | Filter by mesh volume

Angle | Filter by comparing the angles of the triangles in the mesh. This provides the most accurate result |
Name | Filter by object name |
Size | Filter equal or below given object size (based on the bounding box of the object)

Select Similar | Selects all objects in the scene to which the filters apply |
Hide Similar | Hides all objects in the scene to which the filters apply |
Undo | Undo selecting or hiding the found objects |
How to use
Drag an object into the Transform field, or select an object directly from the field selector
Click on the Initialize button to initialize the tool before you start filtering
Select the filter settings you wish to use under Mesh filtering on similarities
Then press Select Similar or Hide Similar to either select or hide objects that are similar to the selected object
